DOING FOR OTHERS WHAT AI DID FOR US AND OUR DAUGHTER
We have a beautiful daughter who has Down syndrome.
She has an amazing imagination, but her drawing skills are a work in progress. She has plenty to express, but sometimes words fall short. We’re working on that, and she’s working on that, but when her heart gets attached to an idea, she’ll let us know!
AI (artificial intelligence) let our daughter express herself and her beautiful imagination. She combined two things she loves into a crazy hodgepodge of a dream, and the result blew us away:
As soon as she saw it, her face lit up – she started jumping up and down, screaming and pointing in excitement at what she just made.
As soon as we saw it, our faces lit up – we got a clearer glimpse into her imagination than we’ve ever had before.
Every time she sees that image – she yells, as excited as ever, “Whale! Sloth!”
Every time we see that image – we’re reminded how much potential she has tucked away inside, just brimming to come out…
We want to help you and your family to have that same experience.

Questions
Is DreamMugs a nonprofit organization?
Yes, DreamMugs is a proud nonprofit organization! All sales revenue and donations go directly toward helping others as laid out by our mission, or increasing our capability to do so.
Is DreamMugs a 501(c)(3)?
Becoming a 501(c)(3)-recognized organization is a top priority for us, but the process can take 6-9 months to be approved. We have applied and will let you know as soon as we hear confirmation!
What is your return policy?
If you receive a defective or incorrect product, you can request a refund within 14 days of delivery. Contact us and we will process your refund through our printing partners.
My AI-generated art has some weird flaws in it… Can I get a refund?
We won’t place any order until you are satisfied with the image you’ve generated. That said, AI is not perfect and can notoriously struggle with certain features, like hands. Our iterative design process tries to work these kinks out as best it can, but we do encourage supporters to embrace minor (not major) flaws as part of the unique charm of your very own AI-generated art. Refunds will not be provided outside of print and product quality issues.
I love your mission and dream! How can I support this cause?
There are so many ways!
- Donations: Every order helps, but donations will go the furthest in keeping our mission moving forward
- Purchases: Check out the DreamMugs shop for your own design request, or to purchase a product with one of our original designs.
- Spread the word: We’re just getting started and rely on people just like you to let others know about us to give and/or receive support
How long will it take to get my product?
The design process nominally takes 1-3 days. Production and Shipping timeframes vary by product, but generally add up to 1-2 weeks. We will provide you with tracking details so you can stay up to date with the latest on your fulfillment status once an order is placed.

Are you going to sell the art I or my loved one generates?
Only to you. DreamMugs promises not to sell any little Dreamer’s art without their express permission; our creative process begins and ends with the one who dreamed it up.
Wait, why do I have to pay if this is a nonprofit?
As a nonprofit, we still have costs to cover to operate and provide this service. We actively seek donations, grants, and 501(c)(3) status with the goal of one day offering the first product of every order to Dreamer’s with disabilities for free. Until then, we proudly waive design fees for any individuals with special needs or disabilities in the Design Request.
Is this only for children with disabilities?
While our journey started with our child and our experience as parents, DreamMugs is in no way limited to only supporting children with disabilities. The pride of turning your creative imaginings into tangible reality is in no way limited to just children. The DreamMugs mission and our free design work apply to all individuals with disabilities.
